FERGUS FALLS, Minn. -- Otter Tail Ag Enterprises chairman Jerry Larson and three others have resigned from the Fergus Falls-based ethanol plant's board of governors.

Resigning with Larson on Aug. 11 were Ed Mehl, Mark Ellison and Greg Smith, according to an Aug. 19 fling with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Otter Tail Ag CEO Anthony Hicks, in a news release from the company, said the board of governors named Gary Thompson as the ethanol plant's new chairman. Thompson has served on the board of the Central Minnesota Ethanol Cooperative in Little Falls.

The board has approved a new Credit Committee to work with lending institutions to "find a suitable path forward," the release stated. The committee is made up of the plant's management, board of governors and members of the company including Hicks, Thompson, Warren Anderson, Daryl Gillund and Jamie Dosdall.

"The objective of this committee is to bring a group of very experienced business management together with production and banking/finance in one group to fully assess the needs of OTAE and the best for its members," Hicks said through the news release.
